 Standard-laced corset |
The standard lacing, the so called trainer-lacing
Put your corset lace to halves and thread one half each into the upper eyelets of your corset. Please mind, that a corset always is laced from the inside to the outside, even the upper eyelets.
Now thread alternately the lace through the eyelets until you reach the middle. In case the corset has an impair number of eyelets you can find the middle via the position of the waist tape. When you´ve reached the middle, form a slope and thread the corset lace - exceptionally - from the outside to the inside. Now thread the lace through the other eyelets as described above.
When you´ve threaded all the eyelets put the ends of your lace together. Best is to use the figure of eight, because it holds the ends tightly and has a plain shape as well. You must now pull back the remaining lace to the slope in the middle.
